Having replaced Taylor Momsen as the face of Madonna and Lourdes’ clothing line, Kelly Osbourne recently shot the fall campaign for “Material Girl”.
With the new ads set to break in September magazine issues, the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne posed in the brand’s new offerings at a variety of NYC landmarks including Times Square, SoHo, the West Village, Washington Square Park and at the Top of the Rock.
Releasing a statement on the new Osbourne shoot, Madonna said, “We have both enjoyed working with Kelly and are thrilled to have her on board for the launch of the fall 2011 collection.”
With purchases made for display in People StyleWatch, Nylon, Seventeen, Teen Vogue and Cosmopolitan, Dari Marder, chief marketing officer at Iconix Brand Group, told WWD, “Material Girl is so connected to New York, and we wanted to shoot in different locations that expressed the different sides of the Material Girl customer.”
Drawing out some of the hottest ladies in Tinseltown, Salvatore Ferragamo held his Women’s Resort 2012 Collection party in New York City on Tuesday night (June 28).
Taking place at the James B. Duke Mansion, attendees such as “Slumdog Millionaire” actress Freida Pinto and “Twilight” hottie Ashley Greene turned up to check out the latest looks.
Of the soiree, Miss Greene tweeted, “Wow. Ferragamo killed It! I’m already calling dibs on some Of the pieces!”
Also on-hand at the Ferragamo fete were beauties such as Eva Mendes, Minka Kelly, Emma Roberts and Teresa Palmer while model Karolina Kurkova confidently walked the runway.
To inspire his fans, Salvatore posted the following statement pre-show, “With her taste for travel, exclusive social events and fine art, the inherently elegant Ferragamo woman is an inspired interpreter of the new essence of chic.”
Adding to the already massive amount of hype, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” held its New York City premiere tonight (June 28).
The action-packed third installment of the uber-popular series drew quite a crowd in Times Square, as stars like Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey and Josh Duhamel all showed up.
Also on-hand for the “Transformers” premiere were famous siblings Willow and Jaden Smith, as well as singing sensation Gabrielle Union.
During a recent interview, LaBeouf chatted about the future of the franchise, and that he’ll be going out with a bang with this movie.
“I just don’t think right now there’s anywhere to take Sam. If you’d asked me fifteen years ago if I would be here, I would’ve said, ‘No way.’ I don’t have a grand plan. There’s not this grand scheme. I just fall into movies. I’m blessed in that regard. The movies I’ve been involved in, it’s never been plotted and planned and picked.”
“I was seventeen when I met [director] Michael [Bay], and I’m sort of Michael Bay-raised. I’ve learned a great deal from Michael, as a person, as an actor, as a person on set. And it’s not that I don’t enjoy working with Michael. I love working with Michael. I would do any movie Michael wants to do. I just don’t think there’s anywhere to take it with Sam.”
She’s one of R&B most recognizable musicians and now Alicia Keys has been immortalized in wax, thanks to Madame Tussaud’s.
The 30-year-old singer’s waxwork creation made its debut at the famed New York City museum earlier today (June 28).
After seeing her amazingly real-looking likeness, Alicia couldn’t stop gushing, “I actually think it’s really, really good! I was looking close up: It’s like my eyebrows are for real, and it’s like my eyes are for real, and the bone structure of my chin, like, ‘Look, that’s my chin! That’s my jaw!’” she told MTV.
Keys added, “It’s incredible. It’s really incredible, and I think it’s so cool to be a part of the New York City part of the exhibit. I was born and raised here, this is my home, so it’s so perfect.”
Their super-hot single “Who Says” is already a platinum hit and now fans can hear the rest of what Selena Gomez & The Scene have to offer as their highly-anticipated album, “When The Sun Goes Down,” makes its way to stores and online today (June 28)!
Elated about the record release, the Disney darling took to her Twitter page to gush, telling fans, “Hey guys!! #WhenTheSunGoesDown is available for purchase now on iTunes. So excited to share it with you!”
Meanwhile, nearly 19-year-old Selena has opened up about the pressures to amp up her sex appeal as she gets older, telling Time, “…of course I’m becoming a woman, and I want to explore that side of myself but at the same time, I have to be true to those people that have been with me. I still get awkward if I’m in a bikini so I don’t think I’ll be doing anything too drastic anytime soon.”
Gomez also says that, while young male stars don’t have to endure that same pressure, she wouldn’t have it any other way, as she explained, “I have it better. Sometimes fans for male pop stars or actors can be a little crazy. I was that way with Jesse McCartney, and N’Sync. But I could probably have lunch with every single one of my fans. I like that I don’t seem unapproachable and that they’re not trying to get with me.”
